Thursday is the new Friday. Let’s face it, weekends rock! Meeting with friends, checking out new local restaurants, exploring the city, or spending quality time with family is something we eagerly await throughout the week. Well, the wait is over because UVI is bringing you SIX LIVE EVENTS every week from spring until summer one day early this year!
At UVI, one of our main goals is to revitalize the vibrancy in San Jose. With the offices opening, businesses coming back, the city is back to its usual hustle and bustle of everyday life. We’ve all adapted to the new normal. As a result, businesses are slowly recovering and booming.
In 2021, UVI helped local small businesses increase sales by 20% on Fridays through the Every Friday Night initiative which worked to bring together local restaurants and musicians. UVI hosted a total of 70 events last spring through the fall in collaboration with 100 local bands and artists, and 30 restaurants and nonprofits.
We are welcoming this initiative back in 2022 beginning April 7th, in 6+ locations in downtown San Jose. This year, we’ve decided to bring you the weekend one day earlier and host these events on Thursdays!
Why Thursdays and not Fridays, you must be wondering.
Businesses have seen a boost on Fridays last year. We’d like to help them gain similar traction on the rest of the nights during the week.
We are anticipating another amazing round of vibrant summer nights while helping local businesses sustain and local artists and performers shine. Come out to show your support for your community and get your weekend kick-started in a positive direction!
